27 July 2010 - Well, it has been a while since this section was updated, but the latest news is that we Stannington Brass Band will be starring in a film and on television. We were asked several months ago to take part in "A Symphony for Yorkshire" composed by Benjamin Till which features over 220 musicians in the piece. We were filmed on Sunday 4th July on a very windswept hillside in the nearby picturesque location of High Bradfield. A Symphony for Yorkshire will be aired on Yorkshire Day, Sunday 1st August 2010. The band will also be filmed on 05 August 2010 to appear on BBC TV.
