Sheffield's Premier Brass Band
Sheffield based Stannington Brass Band, is a Yorkshire Area Championship section brass band under the Musical Directorship of Sam Fisher. The band has 2 National Titles to its name from 2016 and 2022. In addition to being Bolsover Entertainments Champions 2022 (1st Section) and 2023 (Championship Section). It also saw consecutive promotions within the British Open Spring Festival Contest series in 2023 and 2024 meaning that the band will appear in the prestigious Grand Shield contest in 2025.
The band is well known for its concerts and collaborations around Sheffield, performing with local artists such as John Reilly and Lewis Nitikman, The Sheffield Community Gospel Choir and The Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus.
We are very proud to also run a very popular training band under the guidance of MD Tim Parris, encouraging players of all ages and abilities to come together and make music whilst having fun in a supportive environment.
