Sheffield based Stannington Brass Band, is a Yorkshire Area First Section band conducted by Musical Director Derek Renshaw.

The band is well known for it's concerts and collaborations around Sheffield, performing with local artists such as John Reilly and Lewis Nitikman, The Sheffield Community Gospel Choir and The Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus.

We are very proud to also run a very popular training band under the guidance of MD Tim Parris, encouraging players of all ages and abilities to come together and make music whilst having fun in a supporting environment,

Like all Brass Bands round the country, Stannington is currently unable to perform or rehearse due to Covid restrictions, but we look forward to starting up entertaining audiences around Sheffield and beyond as soon as possible.

We have also recently released our new CD 'Images' which features 14 varied and popular tracks.  Please visit our shop for further details. SHOP

Stannington Band can be seen around Sheffield raising festive cheer with carol singing and Christmas concerts throughout December.

The band is particularly well known for the popular, and increasingly famous, Sheffield Local Carol Scene. You haven't experienced a Sheffield Christmas until you've spent an evening at one of Stannington's packed out Pub Carol singing events.
